Skin Course for Tattoo Artists

Anatomy, Physiology and Skin Course for Tattoo Artists and Body Piercing Practitioners (Skin Course)

Saturday, June 1, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. in Springfield, MA, at LaQuinta Inns & Suites, 100 Congress Street, Springfield, MA 01104

This course is in person, with Instructor. The online testing is available here.

Before you register, ask the Board of Health (where you want to work) if they accept the Save Each Life Skin Course Certificate.

Very Important: After you pay (lower on this page), wait to be re-directed to our confirmation page. On that page, you MUST type the name for the certificate, and click “Submit”.  Please make sure you type the name correctly, as there is a fee for replacement.

Note: The Anatomy, Physiology and Skin Course (“The Skin Course“) is a self-study training, on your own time (it takes about 4 hours), before the class. At the class, we will do a short review with questions and answers, then you will have up to one hour to take the test.

The test (50 question, multiple choice, worth 2 points each) is NOT easy, and if you did not study before the class, the review might not be enough to help you pass. You need at least 38 correct answers to pass with a C+ grade (76%). We did fail people who were not well-prepared, and plan to continue to do so. Please don’t take chances! Study to be well-prepared!

The test is NOT “open book”, but “open memory”. You should use everything you stored in your brain.

Write down the date, time, and location before you register, and keep it handy. Food is allowed at the class. If you are late, we will try to accommodate.

If you paid on behalf of somebody else, please make sure we receive their name, contact phone number, and email address, so that we print the correct name on the certificate(s), and make sure they start preparing for the test, by downloading and reading the pdf file, and watching the videos.

The Workbook (in .pdf format) and all the videos you need to watch are found on the link below, for free (but you will need to pay for the test and certificate, when you are ready to take the test). Please bookmark the link. And yes, we can see how many people watched ALL the suggested videos. Even before paying for the course (lower on this page), you should start  watching  What Tattoos Do to the Skin, (all the way to the end, 16 minutes), and continue with reading the files listed and watching the videos found here:
