In Massachusetts, according to The Official Website of the Executive Office of Education (EDU), “Family Child Care (FCC) is care that is delivered in a provider’s home.  There are 3 types of FCC Provider: Family Child Care (FCC) which allows up to a maximum of six children; Family Child Care Plus (FCCP) which allows up to 8 children so long as at least two of the children are school aged; Large Family Child Care (LFCC) which allows for up to 10 children if the provider has an approved assistant working with them. Children may range in age from infant through school age”.

Every year, caregivers need to be certified in Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED), together with helping a chocking child or infant.

Getting the yearly CPR/AED certification can be very expensive, but you can be certified at a very discounted price when you come to our training classes in several locations:  Amherst, Boston, Fitchburg/Leominster, Greenfield, Northampton, Pittsfield, Springfield and Worcester.

We offer class training and certification a couple of times per month in Greenfield, and about once every three months in the other locations.

At the class, which is instructor-based, hands-on training on the mannequins, you will receive (depending on which certification you register for), a workbook, a DVD with all the Instructor’s video segments taught in class, a CPR/AED Certificate (Adult + Child + Infant) with a detachable wallet-size card good for two years, and a Pediatric First Aid Certificate good for three years.

The training takes about 2.5 – 3.5 hours, depending on the number of participants, and their previous level of knowledge. There is no written test for this certification (which is approved in each state of the USA).

We also provide individual training at your location, whenever you are available, but it will be with a different price (includes travel expenses) – and can be mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, including weekends, if nobody else registered before you, on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Call (413) 824-9581.

Ready to register for the least-expensive, instructor-based, hands-on class training?  We will contact you to add your name at the location of your choice.
