According to 29 CFR 1910.1030, all employers are required to safeguard their employees who might be exposed to blood or any potentially infectious materials.
This course meets the OSHA requirements, and is designed for first responders, dentists, dental hygienists, lab workers, police, paramedics, EMT personnel, animal handlers, custodians, and anyone who could come in contact with blood or bodily fluids.
You will learn how to protect yourself from bloodborne and airborne pathogens, and what to do if exposure has occured, the entire text of the OSHA standards, what is Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV and TB, influenza pandemic, the Needle Stick Safety and Prevention Act, recordkeeping and exposure control plans.
Pricing and Registration
The training takes about 2 hours, and can be taken as a separate course, or added to any other certification. Pricing: $50.00 per person, or $25.00 per person if added to other certification.
